The Power of Fear
Last week we saw how the Scriptures clearly describe Satan as a “roaring lion” whose primary intent is to stir up anxiety and create fear in your life. And Satan’s no dummy. He uses every trick in his playbook and every tool at his disposal — from the results of your last physical exam to academic and corporate pressures or even Hollywood entertainment and the mainstream news media.
The truth is that when you let fear sit and marinate in your life, it will get far bigger than is actually warranted for the situation.
There’s good and healthy fear, but there’s also bad fear that can lead us to make poor decisions. Jesus has given us the wisdom and ability to distinguish between them and we’ll see how this morning.
